Welcome to the BCOTS 2016-2017 Season!

This year we have 90 teams in eight divisions. Over the course of the season, we will play 24 weeks, for a total of 1092 possible games. As three divisions have an odd number of teams, byes will reduce this number a little.
Scheduling the BCOTS league is somewhat complicated by the extensive sharing of fields that we have. Of the 90teams, only 18 do not share a field, either with another BCOTS team or another league. This makes field changes problematic.

The scheduling goals this year are:

  • Each team plays an equal number of home and away games (bar Byes)
  • Each team should play every other team in its division
  • The time until playing the same team again is maximized
  • Consecutive Away games are to be avoided or minimized
  • By and large, these goals have been achieved to date.
Enjoy the Season!
